Parks Rental Policies Parks Terms Of Use
Some Park facilities are available for rent when not in conflict with Parks and Recreation activities. All permitted events need to be approved by the Parks Department. Larger permitted events, events open to the public, and events charging an admission fee may need to apply for a special event permit through Town Hall.
Please apply for permits online by visiting the Citizen Self Service portal.
PARK SHELTER RENTALS
Kephart Park
- Shelter permitting season runs from March 1 through October 31.
- FULL DAY
- 8a-8p
- Resident $45 | Non-Resident $67
- HALF DAY
- 8a-1p OR 3p-8p
- Resident $35 | Non-Resident $52
- Online request process:
- Create an account on the Citizen Self Service portal.
- Select ‘Add Permit’
- Type ‘Rent’ in the Search bar to find Kephart Park Shelter.
- After requesting, you will receive a phone call or email to determine which shelter you want (1. Newport Family Shelter or 2. Hometown Heroes Shelter)
- After confirmation of availability and shelter, a link will be emailed for payment.
- A permit does not allow for private use of the entire park since the parks are intended for the enjoyment of all residents; however, it does reserve a pavilion/shelter for private use.
Switzer/Windisch/Witt
- Shelters and covered areas at neighborhood parks are currently on a first-come, first-served basis.
COMMUNITY CENTER RENTALS
The Community Center is available for rent when not in conflict with Parks and Recreation activities.
Online request process:
- Create an account on the Citizen Self Service portal.
- Select ‘Add Permit’
- Type ‘Rent’ in the Search bar to find Community Center Rentals.
- After confirmation of availability, a link will be emailed for payment.
For 2023, the Community Center is already reserved:
- First Monday of every month – Senior Citizens Group
- Every Thursday – Senior Citizens Group
- Every Sunday
