ABOUT USThe Parks Department is a growing and evolving department. We are always looking for partners, affiliate organizations and individuals with specialized skills to enhance the programs and events within Bargersville Parks.
In May 2021, the Town adopted a 5 year Parks and Recreation Master Plan which will guide the growth and development of the town’s parks system. Visit the Plans & Projects page for details.
PARKS AND FACILITIES
The Town of Bargersville has five (5) beautiful parks, a small Community Center and over 8 miles of trails.
GOVERNANCEThe Department of Parks and Recreation was established per IC 36-10-3 in 2022. The Department is governed by the Parks and Recreation Board which consists of four (4) members appointed by the Town Council. Board members serve four-year terms of office. The board meets the second Friday of each month at 8:30am in the Board Room in the Bargersville Utilities Building, 24 N Main Street. Board members set policy for the department, which is administered by the Director of Parks and Recreation.
